ABOUT CONA

Hi, I’m Cona Torres

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, first generation American, and the founder of Internal Freedom LLC.

Growing up between cultures taught me early that the journey to knowing yourself is rarely straightforward. As a South Asian American, I understand intimately how intergenerational patterns, cultural expectations, and the pressure to hold everything together can quietly shape the way our nervous systems learn to operate — often long before we have words for it.

I came to this work through my own healing journey, through witnessing others struggle without the right support, and through a deep belief that every person carries within them the capacity for real, lasting change. That belief is rooted in my faith — not as a clinical framework, but as the foundation of how I show up. With honesty. With compassion. With a genuine conviction that renewal, rebirth, and refinement are possible for anyone willing to do the internal work.

Internal Freedom LLC was built on one truth: that freedom can only be experienced from the inside out. If the internal work hasn't happened, freedom can't fully show up in your life — in your relationships, your body, your sense of self. My role is to walk alongside you through the layers. To help you identify what's keeping you stuck, discover who you want to become, and continue refining that version of yourself across every season of life.

I work with adults across New York and New Jersey via telehealth, holding space for people who are ready to stop surviving and start truly living.
